BRAVO! has been established as a theatre club for people with learning difficulties to continue their work previously established in local colleges of education. BRAVO! was formed by Mandy Formosa and Pina Griffin both lecturers with over thirty years of teaching experience between them.
Each week the group meets at The Bull Theatre in Barnet High Street to explore ways of expressing individual ideas and feelings through creative and artistic environment. Members create dance dramas through their work which they will show to their family and friends at the end of the year. They also have the opportunity to learn different forms of Art to supplement and enhance their dance drama workshop.
The work is fun and lively developing team spirit and individual confidence. The skills of Mandy, Pina and Cheryl are used to their limit in order to bring out the best qualities of the members.
Sessions start at 5pm with homemade tea brakes at 6pm when the members enjoy wonderful and wholesome catering by the volunteer Bravo! staff sessions finish at 7pm with an almighty applause to the cheers of Bravo! Bravo! The reason for our customary Bravo! Bravo! cheers is to celebrate individual's achievement in every session.
